The story was that Saint Saens was madly in love the most beautiful woman in all of Paris. But after years of trying to woo her, she left him for another man. Saint Saens was enraged. He went to her house in Paris and murdered her.
"If I can't have her, no one can!"
But the Spirits of the Dead found out about this horrible deed. So the Dancing Skeletons held a festival to revive the lovely woman. It was a "Danse Macabre".
Then the skeletons kidnapped Saint Saens and be-headed him for his sins.
